Our Tailored Engineering Solution
A&D Carbon Solutions carried out a detailed on-site assessment at Neath RFC to design a commercial solar PV system that would deliver maximum financial and environmental benefit under a zero-upfront Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
Our engineering team completed a full roof survey, structural review and electrical assessment to ensure the system would provide reliable, long-term performance for a busy community sports environment, supporting clubhouse, hospitality and matchday operations.
Using advanced generation modelling and energy consumption analysis, we designed a bespoke 59 kWp commercial solar PV system that makes full use of the available roof space at The Gnoll while maintaining safe access for ongoing maintenance and operations.

The array layout is configured to deliver strong year-round solar generation, closely aligned with Neath RFC’s daytime energy demand profile.
Premium Hardware Selection
132 × Astronergy Astro N7 bifacial all-black solar panels paired with a 50 kW inverter, selected for high efficiency, durability and long-term performance.
Electrical Integration
Seamless integration with the club’s existing electrical infrastructure, requiring minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
PPA-Optimised Design
The system is sized to maximise on-site consumption and savings under a reduced PPA electricity tariff of 16p per kWh, significantly lower than the club’s previous grid electricity rate of approximately 25p per kWh.
